Is it just me or is this happening way too often nowadays? - Thoughts?
With that said, why is it so important that humanity becomes an inter-planetary species and civilization? Well, to safeguard the existence and survival of humanity in the event that something catastrophic was to happen in which humanity's population on earth was diminished to zero due to a massive disaster either man-made or produced by nature. It would be crucial to have humanity spread out so one event won't cause our species to become extinct all in one shot and in one location. For instance, if humanity does not change its power consumption habits and does not confront the 100 companies that are responsible for 71% of the global emissions, humanity will witness the catastrophic events within 12 years that can cause irreversible damage to our civilization. This was told multiple times as a warning by UN climatologist or if an asteroid hits earth, like asteroid 2006 QV89 that said to have had a 1 in 7000 chance to hit earth that fall. - There are a lot of threats and dangers in the universe whether its at home on earth or when considering the last frontier. Threats and danger are always present even if we stay here on earth or venture to colonize and explore the universe but it only matters if we are prepared for those threats and dangers that will come and a species that chooses to venture, discover, and, colonize in the name of its species is one that is prepared for the universe and all its threats, dangers, beauty, experiences, and rewards. So let's hold tight, for the future is uncertain and times running out, but will humanity wake up in time to meet all these threats and dangers with the best of what humanity has to offer? Let us prepare ourselves with the proper tools and knowledge to tackle the problems, threats, questions, dangers of the future and the universe and then do what humanity does best and adapt, expand, thrive and live. - #Spaceexploration #nasa #spacex #humanity
Along with that, they seek to revolutionize air travel the most notable of which is SpaceX's BFR which made a trip from Los Angeles to New York in 25 minutes when it would have taken a typical commercial airliner 5 hours and 25 minutes, also from London to Hong Kong took SpaceX's BFR 34 minutes when it would have taken a typical commercial airliner 11 hours and 50 minutes. This advancement in air travel will allow humans to go anywhere in the world within 40 minutes by utilizing the Starship. - Additionally, Multiple space-based companies have started looking into commercial Space travel in an effort to normalize-space travel and make it available to the general public. Most famously the case of fashion innovator and globally recognized artist Yusaku Maezawa will be the SpaceX's and humanity's first private passenger to fly around the Moon in 2023 part of a weeklong mission or Blue origins "Fly With Us", offering the general public an opportunity to become an astronaut and become part of the spearhead of discovery and human ability. - Most remarkable of all and probably one of the biggest benefits of space exploration is humanity becoming an inter-planetary species via SpaceX's plans to colonize Mars by 2024 and The United Arab Emirates plans to form a city of 600,000 by 2117 giving SpaceX a good flow of humans who are willing to resettle on another planet. From this event of Mars colonization and witnessing an important part of human history, we can expect a similar event to occur as we saw in 1968 were investment in the Apollo Moon exploration program in the 1960s correlated with the level of technical education later attained by students to increase significantly. Suggesting that the program’s high public profile and dramatic achievements had a widespread influence on the level of US technical education. As a 2009 survey found that 57% of the internationally renowned scientists who published in the prestigious journal "Nature" during the previous three years had been inspired by Apollo to become scientists and 89% of the respondents also agreed that human spaceflight inspires younger generations to study STEM and related fields - [Pt.3 coming tmm!]
Space Exploration all started when the Soviet R-7 intercontinental ballistic missile launched Sputnik On October 4th, 1957, which triggered an American response with the launching of the satellite Explorer I on January 31st, 1958, Thus the Space Race began and with that came many lives to be lost and two world powers struggle to get to the moon first. Though In the end, it was the Americans who got the first humans to the moon on 20th July 1969. - Although many years have passed and the Space Race has ended since 1975. Space exploration's benefits didn't stop there, for example, the $25 billion dollars spent on NASA's research and development from 1959-1969 which included some of the main technologies that would help humanity reach the moon continued to return money into the economy until 1987, they returned over $181 billion dollars into the economy from only $25 billion dollars. Furthermore, Space Exploration's benefits also reached the average human due to alot of different inventions, products, engineering ideas and various things coming out of NASA's new technology and with some time these new technologies were available or implemented to the general public and our society. Now we have products and things like Infrared ear thermometers, Ventricular assist device, LASIK technology, Invisible braces, Improved Highway safety, Improved Chemical detection, Video enhancing and analysis systems, highly effective Firefighting equipment, and Fire resistant reinforcement, and improved food safety, etc. - Despite all this good that has came from space exploration most people don't notice the great economic, artistic, scientific research, educational, social and architectural opportunities that await humanity outside of earth. This is clear due to President Trump's 2.3% cut or $0.5 billion cut from NASA's funding in his 2020 federal budget. Although this looks bad for NASA space exploration won't halt thanks to companies like SpaceX, Boeing, Orbital Sciences, Blue Origin, Bigelow Aerospace, SpaceDev/Sierra Nevada Corp, etc, which are companies looking to pave the way for the private sector into space. - [Pt.2 Coming Tomorrow] - #spaceexploration #nasa #spacex #humanity
- How can we brag that the economy is doing amazingly well when : - A new survey of 1,000 U.S. adults by GoBankingRates reveals that it's a necessity for many Americans to work a side gig just to make ends meet, specifically 46% - 57% percent of Americans don't have enough cash to cover a $500 unexpected expense. - 21% of American children live below the federal poverty line which does not even cover the basic needs of humans. - $16 billion in aid package for American farmers hit by trump's trade war. - 40,000 Americans die a year from a lack of healthcare and 21 million could lose health insurance if trump repeals and does not have a replacement for Obamacare which will throw a great number of those 21 million Americans on that list of Americans who die a year from a lack of healthcare. - Reports from MIT, McKinsey & Company, and Bain & Company state that by 2030, 20% - 40% of American jobs will be automated and we will have no plan and are acting like it will never come. - So Who Is This Economy Working For Again And Who Is It Amazing For?
The redefining of values and priorities is a "event" that is long over due. Today we see multiple parties, opinions, ideas and policys in the "free market of ideas" but only a fraction of those parties, opinions, ideas and policys support things that will actually produce tangible benefits for the average american and the American population as a whole. - Well what I mean by that is for example the libertarian party believes in a "free-market education where parents, teachers, and students, not the government, should make their own choices on education." But leaving education to the market will inherently be flawed because the focus of private sector companies or businesses is to make money, not provide education at all costs. Therefore if it is not profitable it wont happen in most cases. - Nevertheless the redefining of values and priorities will set a standard of policy for American politicians by the american people realizing they deserve better and holding that line of belief, adopting certain policys standards and above all else refuse to go lower. For instance a politican can advocate for whatever he or she would like but under no circumstances can they support any policy that will have a vast negative impact on the average american population for example the further privatization of healthcare. - The policys that ought to become standard for every politican include the following. [This is not all of them] - • Medicare for all citizens - • Access to tuition free education for all citizens both college and trade schools - • The right to healthy, safe food and drinking water - • The right for every American to start a business and need not worry about unfair competition posed by large corporations - • The right for every American female who bares a child to have a standard of muturity leave with the guarantee of her job - • The right for all Americans citizens to vote reguardless of conviction and free of voter suppression. - Under no circumstances should the American population, voter, worker, business owner or people settle for less nor allow themselves to be pursued into believing they do not deserve the basics needed to live and thrive.
The establishment and its propaganda arm are at it again. Pure lies, knowingly misleading, willingly misinforming people to make a corporate democrat look like he has support. - I dont know how anybody can support a canadiate who... - • Voting for the Iraq war in 2002. - • Wrote a horriable crime bill that focused in the punishment rather than the rehabilitation in 1994. - • Voted in 1996 against gay marriage - • Repealing the glass steagall act in 1999 - • Voted for the patriot act in 2001. - • Voted to end bankruptcy protections for students in 2005. - • Openly opposition to healthcare for all in favor of the already failing American healthcare system. - • Praised paul ryan for going after social security and medicare. - • Told millennials to "give me a break" when they talk about the plagues and problems or concerns of their modern society and futures. - • Oppose to legalize marijuana on the basis of he still thinks it's a "gate way drug" - • Opposes going after the Billionaires and other rich people who dodge taxes and partake in unjust business practices "I'm not bernie sanders, I dont think 500 Billionaires are the reason we why we're in troblem...We have not seen this huge concentration of wealth. The folks at the top are not bad guys. I get in trouble in my party when I say wealthy Americans are just as patriotic as poor folks." - • Supported warrantless wiretapping. - • Voted against Desegregation. - This is not the record of a progressive. This looks like the record of a moderate republican. - Joe Biden is a prime example of the democratic party's corruption, corporate pleasing tendencies, right wing attributes, inability to actually tackle national problems like the healthcare crisis or the failure of the war on drugs, ect, and is also a prime example of why the party must change. - #berniesanders2020 #berniesanders #ourrevolution #nyc #feelthebern #progressive #socialdemocrat
"We wish to control big business so as to secure among other things good wages for the wage-workers and reasonable prices for the consumers. Wherever in any business the prosperity of the business man is obtained by lowering the wages of his workmen and charging an excessive price to the consumers we wish to interfere and stop such practices. We will not submit to that kind of prosperity any more than we will submit to prosperity obtained by swindling investors or getting unfair advantages over business rivals." - Theodore Roosevelt
Just so we all know the diffrence between Socialism and a Social Democracy. - Dont believe the right wing myth of "when the goverment does stuff that's socialism!" Or even when liberals say "universal healthcare and tuition free public college are socialists policys!" - Both are untrue and show a extreme lack of understanding reguarding policy, theory, and economics. - Furthermore Bernie Sanders is no socialist in any type of way, shape or form. He is just a capitalist who want to regulate the private market and rise taxes on the extremely wealthy, big businesses and large corporations and use those tax dollars to benefit society as a whole and not just the rich, wealthy and powerful. - #berniesanders2020 #socialdemocrat #socialdemocracy #ourrevolution

Joe Biden is set to announce his presidential candidacy some time next week. - So in light if that here are some of the outstandingly bad things Mr.Biden has voted on. A widely shared New York Times article about the growing nervousness Democratic Party bosses have about Bernie Sanders includes one comment from a superdelegate that may prove controversial. - On Tuesday, the Times‘ Jonathan Martin published an in-depth look into how the party’s leadership is coping with the seemingly unstoppable surge Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vermont ) is currently experiencing, going from a fringe radical candidate in 2016 to the clear frontrunner in 2020. - Martin’s report shows the party establishment — as well as its chief operatives, like David Brock — is convinced an avowed Democratic socialist like Sanders would lose the general election to President Trump if nominated. And as of right now, Sanders enjoys a strong early lead. - Sen. Sanders is an obvious frontrunner in terms of fundraising, bringing in an impressive $18 million in the first quarter of 2019, with an average donation of just $20. The Vermont senator’s campaign recently recorded its millionth campaign contribution in April after just two months of campaigning — something his 2016 endeavor took five months to accomplish. And a reputable pollster (Emerson ) recently ranked Sanders first out of 20 current and prospective candidates, putting him five points in front of his nearest competitor, former Vice President Joe Biden. - In the turbulent 2016 primary between Sanders and Hillary Clinton, hundreds of the party’s so-called “superdelegates” (county and state party bosses and elected officials ) rallied around Clinton early, giving her an essentially insurmountable lead months before the first ballots were cast. In February of 2016, for example — just two days after the New Hampshire primary — The Guardian estimated Clinton had 355 superdelegates to Sanders’ 14. But in August of 2018, the DNC changed those rules. - [[Continues in the comments]]
"When Leah Daughtry, a former Democratic Party official, addressed a closed-door gathering of about 100 wealthy liberal donors in San Francisco last month, all it took was a review of the 2020 primary rules to throw a scare in them. - Democrats are likely to go into their convention next summer without having settled on a presidential nominee, said Ms. Daughtry, who ran her party’s conventions in 2008 and 2016, the last two times the nomination was contested. And Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont is well positioned to be one of the last candidates standing, she noted. - “I think I freaked them out,” Ms. Daughtry recalled with a chuckle, an assessment that was confirmed by three other attendees. They are hardly alone. - From canapé-filled fund-raisers on the coasts to the cloakrooms of Washington, mainstream Democrats are increasingly worried that their effort to defeat President Trump in 2020 could be complicated by Mr. Sanders, in a political scenario all too reminiscent of how Mr. Trump himself seized the Republican nomination in 2016. - How, some Democrats are beginning to ask, do they thwart a 70-something candidate from outside the party structure who is immune to intimidation or incentive and wields support from an unwavering base, without simply reinforcing his “the establishment is out to get me”’ message, the same grievance Mr. Trump used to great effect? - But stopping Mr. Sanders, or at least preventing a contentious convention, could prove difficult for Democrats." - ((As we somewhat expected the establishment democrats are already trying to put together a plan that will mirror their corruption in 2016 when they rigged the election against Bernie Sanders. But this time around Bernie's support has grown, he has successfully reached across the political spectrum with his townhall hosted by fox news, his base is as loyal as they come, he has a financial advantage. Within 52 days of his announcement of his presidential candidacy he gained $20,000,000 through 1,000,000 donations of an average $20 donations. This time around Bernie Sanders and Our Revolution and The Supporters will not go down so easily as the establishment Democrats would hope ) )
- Even Fox cant deny the fact that Bernie Sanders will beat trump if he obtains the democratic nomination. - I was not expecting this to be completely honest. Especially from Fox Viewers. - If I had to deem the townhall a win or a loss, I'd say this is a huge win. A win hard enough to get Fox Viewers (Vastly Right Winged ) to actually want to vote for Bernie Sanders over their own Republican president, and cheer for many Social Democratic policys. - #berniesanders2020 #berniesanders #ourrevolution #nyc #feelthebern #progressive - I can imagine the townhall yesterday only helped Sanders number go higher.
Well fellow Bernie Supporters, progressives, Social Democrats. - We finally hit 1 million donations in just 52 days of Bernie Sanders Announcing his presidential campaign! - Which equals out to $20,000,000 with the average donation at $20. - No Corporate Money - No PAC Money - No Speical Intrests Donations - Just money from the average Americans!
Climate Change Deniers are the peak of Delusion.
Bernie Sanders and Other Social Democrats are not against the rich for them being rich. - We are against the rich who use their wealth to influence our politics. - We are against the rich who take tax loop holes. - We are against the corporations who do not pay their taxes. - We are against the rich who use their wealth to help their loved ones get a advantage above everyone else because the amount of money your parents have or the amount of money you have does not make you better than anybody else and should not qualify you. - We support rich people and businesses who respect the society they live in and pay their fair share of taxes. - We support businesses big or small who pay their workers a liveable wage and allows then the right to unionize. - We support the right and Freedom of every small business to compete in a market free from the threat of unfair economics created by monopolies and big corporations. - We are not against the rich for the amount of money they have! - We are against the rich who use it to gain a unfair advantage in politics or influence politics in a way that will benefit only them or in the capitalist market to knock out competitors in a unfair way or in school to bribe their way through the tests and qualifications or in healthcare to gain access to better medicine or better care then others, ect. - The amount of money we have should not dictate how worthy we are as humans. - #socialdemocrat #berniesanders2020 #berniesanders #ourrevolution #nyc #feelthebern #progressive #fdr
Norway refuses to drill for billions of barrels of oil in Arctic, leaving ‘whole industry surprised and disappointed’ - Politicians in Norway have signaled a shift on their support for oil exploration in the Arctic, delivering a major blow to the country's powerful oil industry. - The opposition Labor Party, the largest party in Norway's parliament and a longtime backer of the nation's oil industry, has withdrawn its support for oil exploration off the Lofoten islands in the Arctic, Bloomberg reports. - The outlet noted that the party's decision over the weekend comes to the dismay of the country's powerful oil industry, and signals a potential end to an era that helped transform the nation into one of the world's most affluent. - The decision means that the country's parliament now has a solid majority opposed to drilling in the area. - The country's largest oil producer, the state-controlled Equinor ASA, has said having access to the offshore area is crucial for the country to maintain its current level of production. - The Lofoten islands, which are also considered to be a natural wonder, are estimated to hold roughly 1 billion to 3 billion barrels of oil and natural gas, Bloomberg reported. - Karl Eirik Schjott-Pedersen, head of the Norwegian Oil and Gas Association, told the outlet that "the whole industry is surprised and disappointed." - The move comes days after the government announced plans to tighten restrictions on investing in coal for its $1 trillion sovereign wealth fund as it allows for more investments on renewable-energy infrastructure assets. - ((This is how a nation should act! Astronomers announced on Wednesday that at last they had seen the unseeable: a black hole, a cosmic abyss so deep and dense that not even light can escape it. - “We’ve exposed a part of our universe we’ve never seen before,” said Shep Doeleman, an astronomer at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, and director of the effort to capture the image, during a Wednesday news conference in Washington, D.C. - The image, of a lopsided ring of light surrounding a dark circle deep in the heart of the galaxy known as Messier 87, some 55 million light-years away from here, resembled the Eye of Sauron, a reminder yet again of the power and malevolence of nature. It is a smoke ring framing a one-way portal to eternity. - The image offered a final, ringing affirmation of an idea so disturbing that even Einstein, from whose equations black holes emerged, was loath to accept it. If too much matter is crammed into one place, the cumulative force of gravity becomes overwhelming, and the place becomes an eternal trap, a black hole. Here, according to Einstein’s theory, matter, space and time come to an end and vanish like a dream. - On Wednesday morning that dark vision became a visceral reality. When the image was put up on the screen in Washington, cheers and gasps, followed by applause, broke out. - The image emerged from two years of computer analysis of observations from a network of radio antennas called the Event Horizon Telescope. In all, eight radio observatories on six mountains and four continents observed the galaxy in Virgo on and off for 10 days in April 2017. - The telescope array also monitored a dim source of radio noise called Sagittarius A* (pronounced Sagittarius A-star ), at the heart of our Milky Way galaxy. There, 26,000 light-years from Earth, and buried in the depths of interstellar dust and gas, another black hole, with a mass of 4.1 million suns, almost certainly lurks. - ((This is a step forward humanity's quest to discover and understand what we call the universe. ) ) - https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nytimes.com/2019/04/10/science/black-hole-picture.amp.html

Sen. Bernie Sanders will participate in a town hall hosted by Fox News later this month, the network announced Wednesday. - The town hall is slated for April 15 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and will focus on economy and jobs. President Donald Trump won the traditionally Democratic-leaning state in 2016. - Fox News' Special Report’s Bret Baier and The Story’s Martha MacCallum will moderate the event. - Sanders, who is a leading contender in the sprawling 2020 Democratic field, previously participated in a town hall on Fox News during the 2016 election, alongside Hillary Clinton. - Baier tweeted that he is "looking forward" to moderating Sanders' event. He also teased the possibility of more town halls, saying "others are in the works." - The announcement that Fox News would host Sanders received some backlash. Ian MIllhiser, a columnist with the liberal news site ThinkProgress, tweeted a link to the release with the comment, "WTF is Bernie doing?" - The Democratic National Committee declined to allow Fox News to host a Democratic primary debate, with DNC Chairman Tom Perez citing the network's cozy relationship with President Donald Trump and his administration. A number of Fox News reporters, including Baier and Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace, have been critical of the DNC's decision. - .....(Overall I encourage Sanders to reach "across the aisle" to our fellow Americans on the other side in hopes to show them that not every Democrat is the same, not every Democrat is just a copy and paste of Obama or Pelosi or Biden. That there are Democrat who actually want to change things around rather than maintain the status quo. )
I really thought trump was smarter than your typical anti vaxxer. - But I guess stupidity and the rejecting of medical research and the rejection of science know no bounds. - No matter a random idiot online or the president of the strongest nation in the world. - If vaccines caused autism, Wouldn't the majority of us have autism, I myself included due to myself being vaccinated? - Wouldn't all the American children in public school due to the vaccination requirements? - Wouldn't the college students who go to public colleges due to the vaccination requirements? - Mind you the "vaccines cause autism" case has been debunked many times over my many institutions both government and independent. - This is honestly laughable and shows what the majority trump supporters reasonings come down to, delusion, the rejection of logic and above all the rejection of facts. - Instead of promote vaccines due to the TB cases, measles cases, The tetanus case in Oregon. He doubles down on the bases conspiracy theories and the rejection of basic knowledge. - Take this with a grain of salt if you will "One study in the New England Journal of Medicine found differences in the brains of children with autism as early as the second trimester of pregnancy. While researchers haven't been able to pinpoint a definite cause, ASD likely develops from a combination of factors. "Some cases may primarily have a genetic cause, and others may have a primarily environmental cause, but most cases probably result from the interaction of both," says Paul Wang, M.D., senior vice president of medical research for Autism Speaks."
$18.2 million raised from 900,000 donations. - Those 900,000 people are average Americans just like you and me, With the average donating $20. - 88% of donors gave less than $200. - The majority of donors were less than 39 years old, and 99.6% of the donations were raised online. - All this with in 41 days. - These numbers goes to show that Bernie Sanders is the only candidate in the presidential race so far that really has the people and the people only behind him and supporting him. - No High Dollar Fundraising! - No Corporate Money! - Just average Americans. - Hopefully bernie can increase this momentum and increase his support as the race goes on. - And hopefully the establishment Democrats dont pull a fast one like they did in 2016. - #berniesanders2020 #feelthebern #ourrevolution #nyc
You know alot of american conservatives and right wing libertarians say that we Social Democrats are anti-america or not pro-america. - I do beg to differ extremely. - As Bernie Sanders pointed out "How do we have trillions of dollars to spend in endless wars, but we dont have money for education and healthcare?" - Well why do we have money for war and a unnecessarily huge military but dont have anything when it comes to educating our fellow Americans or keeping our fellow Americans healthy? - Who is the anti-american here? The person who sends American service personnel to their deaths for a reason that the personnel do not even know? Or the person who wants to keep them home and give them access to a good and a ever more improving quality of education and healthcare? - Likewise as Sanders points out "How do we have money for tax breaks for billionaires, but not to feed hungry children?" - Again why do we have money to give tax breaks to billionaires and especially the trillionaire Jeff Bezos of amazon (3 billion dollars from the city of New York and he and his company ran off with it ). But we do not have money to feed the 1 in 6 children in the United States who face hunger? - Who is the real anti-american here? The person who sees that 1 out of every 6 American children go hungry and in response to that wants to give billionaires and trillionaires even more money by giving them our tax dollars? Or the person who wants to use those very tax dollars to create effective programs that will feed those children and benefit society as a whole? - Its slowly starting to seem as if most right wing americans have a unbreakable pledge or will to further the private sector rather the pledge or will to care and further the American people and society. - I can honestly sit here and say I love America and it's people, I consider myself one of them on the fact that I'm a city boy from New York city. Therefore I dont want to see a single America to go with out a education if they want one, likewise I dont want to see a American homeless, or sick with no hope of getting better. Let us make society better for all -
I dont usally post stuff like this but it's a good refresher to remind us not to generalize. - We cannot blur the lines between groups. - Likewise we can not mindlessly associate groups of people with certain characteristics. because then we alienate them from joining us in fighting the very things we want to rid society of. - Let's unify to make society better for all not divide ourselves due to primitive reasons.
- Hopefully Bernie Sanders can help Puerto Rico. - Not just with the recover, - but also with the crippling debt. - Increasing gun crimes due to the worsening economy. - The nearly 300 schools closing and more to come. - Repeal of the undemocratic imposed financial group "la junta" that controls the islands economic decisions. - Give Puerto Ricans accurate representation in Congress. - Give Puerto Ricans the voting rights of all other American citizens. - Stop Puerto Ricans municipal workers from getting their wages cut and layed off - Stop the financial group la junta from taking the elderly Puerto Ricans pension away. - Stop the defunding of the bomberos y polica (Fire fighters and police, ect. - I would love to see Sanders work with the Partido Independentista Puertorriqueño (Puerto Rican independence party ) due to them being Social Democrats as well as the Partido Nuevo Progresista (New progressive Party ). - All in order to turn Puerto Rico into a self sustainable economy, and to set up Puerto Rico so that Puerto Ricans see the potential of the Puerto Rican economy so they can make a conscious and clear decision for the next referendum reguarding whether they want to join the USA and become a state or leave the USA and become a independent and sovereign nation.
In case anybody has the question "how are you going to pay for all of it?!" - The results will mirror other social democratic nation in the world. - Decrease in crime, increased life expectancy and overall health, increased happiness, Decrease in poverty and inequality of all types and forms, ect. - Its time that we the average Americans start seeing the benefits of living in a Developed nation.
Developed countries use various approaches to provide universal coverage. Some rely on the government, as in a single-payer approach. - Other nations depend on private insurers and a third group of countries, such as the U.S., have a mixture of both. - A Pew study published last fall found that 6 in 10 Americans now say that it is the federal government’s responsibility to guarantee health care coverage for all Americans. - Yet the debate over the approach needed to provide coverage has been roiling U.S. politics for years, and that debate will play a prominent role in that country’s 2020 elections. - Being seen as having a well-developed public health system is one of nine attributes used to develop the Quality of Life sub-ranking in the 2019 Best Countries report. - The survey is based on a study that surveyed more than 20,000 global citizens from four regions to assess perceptions of 80 countries on 75 different metrics. - The list from the report goes as such with 1 being the best. - 19 ) United States......... 10 ) United Kingdom 9 ) Australia 8 ) Netherlands 7 ) Germany 6 ) Denmark 5 ) Canada 4 ) Switzerland 3 ) Sweden 2 ) Norway 1 ) Finland - This should serve as a wake up call for all American politicians and the American people.
- May the 49 people killed in this mass shooting in New Zealand rest easy or rest in peace. - Sad to see that primitive reasons such as race still cause people to kill needlessly. - On a brighter note in light of this horriable event, to prevent another event like this New Zeland's Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said "Gun Laws Will Change" - This a bold but much needed change that could of prevented these 49 innocent live from being cut short. - I implore my fellow Americans to take note and at least consider such bold action in the United States. - We in America have felt the effects of many mass shootings, and lost our fair share of people in them. - But we are still having the same debate... 318 death later. 15 mass shooting later. - Hopefully this tragic and unnecessary event can spark change in our nation and none of us have to experience nor worry about such an event happening. - #49lives
BERNIE SANDERS ON SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY: - Space Exploration : Bernie supports NASA’s mission and is generally in favor of increasing funding for NASA, but only after the needs of Americans on Earth are first met. - “I am supportive of NASA not only because of the excitement of space exploration, but because of all the additional side benefits we receive from research in that area. In general, I do support increasing funding for NASA.” - Global Warming : Bernie believes climate change is one of the greatest challenges facing the planet today: that it is real, caused by human activity, and a serious threat to the environment and our way of life. - “Pope Francis’ powerful message on climate change should change the debate around the world and become a catalyst for the bold actions needed to reverse global warming. The pope helps us all see how those with the least among us will fare the worst from the consequences of climate change.” - Stem Cell Research : Stem cell research represents an exciting and promising line of research that could provide treatments and cures for many debilitating diseases. Bernie has voted in the past to approve further stem cell research. He voted to allow human embryonic stem cell research in 2005, and to expand research into more embryonic stem cell lines in 2007. - Vaccinations : Bernie believes vaccines are an effective deterrent to dangerous diseases. - “I think obviously vaccinations work. Vaccination has worked for many, many years. I am sensitive to the fact that there are some families who disagree but the difficulty is if I have a kid who is suffering from an illness who is subjected to a kid who walks into a room without vaccines that could kill that child and that’s wrong.” - GMOs : Bernie supports labeling genetically modified organisms (GMOs ) from a consumer information perspective, as the vast majority of components in foods are. - It details Bernie's stances on multiple issues and policys
- An HIV-positive man in Britain has become the second known adult worldwide to be cleared of AIDS. At a conference in Seattle, the U.N. agency leading the global effort to end AIDS said the agency is greatly encouraged by the possibility of an HIV-positive man being cured, but there is still a long way to go. - Scientists have been searching for a cure for HIV/AIDS for close to 40 years. The director of UNAIDS called news that a man in London has been functionally cured of HIV a "breakthrough." Stephane Dujarric, a spokesman for the U.N. secretary-general, made the announcement. - "The breakthrough gives us great hope for the future, but also shows how far we are from the point of ending AIDS with science, as well as the absolute importance to continue to focus on HIV prevention and treatment efforts,” he said. - The London man is HIV-free after receiving a stem cell transplant from a donor with a rare genetic mutation called CCR5, that made him resistant to HIV. His cancer has also gone into remission. Professor Ravindra Gupta at University College London said the man is now off his medication. - "We waited 16 months before stopping in the post-transplant period just to make sure that the cancer was in remission, the patient was well and that the measures we had of the HIV reservoir in the body showed that there was very, very little virus there, if any at all," he said. - Gupta hesitates to call it a cure, but this is the second patient to show no signs of the HIV virus after a similar stem cell transplant. The first man was an American treated in Berlin 12 years ago. Dr. Rowena Johnston, director of research at amfAR, the Foundation for AIDS Research, says this second success is significant. - "We now have reason to believe that the Berlin patient was not a one-off case... meaning it is possible to nearly, or even completely, eliminate HIV from an infected person," he said - This will go down as another reason we need to focus some resources on stem cell research given the demonstrated potential.
AI and robotics can be introduced into our workplace and 100% replace the human labor if and only if we have a UBI system that can maintain the exsistance of the former laborer. - This will give humans more time to search for their "happiness" likewise it will give humans the time/money capacity to go and study very demanding fields such as Biology, Mathematic, And Engineering, Ect. - I cannot make a bigger case for why we need a Universal basic income system other than this, It will enable the average human to dedicate its life, time and effort to something that will benefit themselves, humanity or society, One Ideal thing i will love to see and will most likely happen is more people going and spending longer in college due to them taking up what they truly want, and we will see them do significantly better in whatever they choose because they can study endlessly, and really give their 100% into it, rather than giving their 70% to school and 30% to their job. - This Can Only Be A Good Thing If We Do It Right. Society is changing in many ways, and this will be a way to bring the change faster. - #UBI #andrewyang2020
Andrew Yang is more suited for the future of humanity in my opinion were as Bernie Sanders is not. - Ether candidate is amazing in my opinion and i personally prefer one or the other! - Yang may not be as progressive as Sanders but he makes up for it with his UBI proposal, Encouragement in AI technology/Robot technology in the work place and Nuclear energy use to make society more efficient in a clean way! - #yang2020 #andrewyang2020 #humanityfirst #berniesanders #berniesanders2020 #futurist #humanist
Science is key to humanity's future and we should resort resources to said thing. - Nonetheless I dont believe as a whole "if you do not believe in science your holding everybody back". - I do although believe that when politicians or people use religion and "God" or the bible or Quran to justify their cases it is a big problem. - The problem with this is (and this is why I say keep it out of politics, debates and legislation ) that you cannot prove god nor can you prove your religion. - So by all means, believe and worship what you want, but keep it out of public schooling and keep it out of legislation. - Other than that, worship, eat, like, and overall do what you want, that's the beauty of democracy.
Bernie Sanders on CNN's town hall tonight! - Don't forget To check it out! - But also take the questions with a grain of salt and caution, for let is not forget CNN had and still does have a clear bias for Moderate Democrats as they did in the previous presidential campaign of 2016 with the Clintons. - With that said I hope Bernie Sanders gets more support through this town hall and his up coming rallies in Brooklyn and Chicago. - #berniesanders2020 #berniesanders
People often brush off flu as a mere annoyance, but the infection kills hundreds of thousands each year based on the CDC’s statistical estimates. - The flu virus is actually as difficult of a nemesis as HIV. It mutates at an extremely rapid rate, making effective vaccines almost impossible to engineer on time. Scientists currently use data to forecast the strains that will likely explode into an epidemic and urge the public to vaccinate against those predictions. That’s partly why, on average, flu vaccines only have a success rate of roughly 50 percent, not much better than a coin toss. - Tired of relying on educated guesses, scientists have been chipping away at a universal flu vaccine that targets all strains, perhaps even those we haven’t yet identified. Often referred to as the “holy grail” in epidemiology, these vaccines try to alert our immune systems to parts of a flu virus that are least variable from strain to strain. - Last November, a first universal flu vaccine developed by BiondVax entered Phase 3 clinical trials, which means it’s already been proven safe and effective in a small-medium number of cases and is now being tested in a broader population. The vaccine doesn’t rely on dead viruses, which is a common technique. Rather, it uses a small chain of amino acid. The chemical components that make up proteins to stimulate the immune system into high alert. - With all the Research and studies that have been going on the past few years, We can potentially see a break-through later this year. This will be a huge step forward for science and for human health world wide.
1 Million under 4 hours of his announcement of his campaign. - That is unheard of but nonetheless shows a great start to his campaign. - This is how the start of a campaign is suppose to be, with mass numbers people excited and happy too see that you are running and will go so far as collectively giving you 1 million of their hard earned money in under 4 hours! - #berniesanders2020 #berniesanders
Here we go people, the moment we've been hoping on. - Better times are ahead for the average American and American working people! - Hopefully this time, no one can stop him. - Spread The Word!
A bit of a late night post. Lol my transhumanist/humanist side jumped when I read this. - I'm so glad to see Bernie Sanders support for Artificial intelligence and robotics! - Also glad to see that he realizes that it will be a force of good for humanity and should ONLY be used for the betterment of humanity. - I can honestly say I trust people with this type of mindset to keep AI and robotics from becoming weaponized and also out of military hands! - Hopefully we can see the effects of AI and robotics in the years to come and experience the new era of prosperity it will bring forth. - For those who do not trust AI remember the danger comes when AI reaches a point that it becomes self aware, right now it has the intelligence of a cockroach according to scientists like Michio Kaku, the point of worry will come when AI reaches the intelligence of a Monkey because monkeys are self aware, which can possibly come in the next 100 years or so. - "For The Advancement of Humanity"
16 longevity scientists had a Valentine's day message for the world. - Announcing the Academy for Health and Lifespan Research - A group of leading scientists devoted to research on the mechanisms of biological aging today announced the formation of the Academy for Health and Lifespan, the first global non-profit group focused on accelerating breakthroughs in the expansion of the human health span. The timing of the announcement aligns with the Valentine's Day holiday to call attention to the Academy for Health and Lifespan Research mission to enable people to live better and love longer. - The Academy's mission is to set the public stage for the transformation society must make, as health span extension means a growing population fully able to live healthier lives longer. The group's plan is to accomplish its goals through awareness and education, by giving new research a platform for dissemination, and by organizing conferences and forums where the world's leaders in the study of health span and longevity will gather and share research and insights. Ultimately, the Academy will provide grants to fund promising research from established and emerging scientists. - "We believe we are at a threshold moment in the research of age-related decline, which is the timing that inspired the creation of the Academy," said David Setboun, chair and president of the new Academy for Health and Lifespan Research. "Our shared belief is that science shows that we can age later." The complete list of Founders is attached. - "The Academy is a think tank seeking to speed the rate of discoveries to expand our health spans," he continued. "Our 16 founders are among the leading geroscientists in the world. In addition to raising awareness of research advances among the general public, we will encourage increased public and private investment in health span and longevity research throughout the globe."
Benefitting from society with out actually contributing to the society that you built your company upon is a problem that we should all fight. - It is beyond me why Amazon has not been nationalized because all the tax dodging they have done or at least penalized heavily. - P.S to all the conservatives and right wing libertarians, Ect out there who praise Mr.Bezos as a man of hard work and an example to follow of getting rich. - "This Is How The Man Became the Richest Person In The World With A Company Net Worth Of A Trillion Dollars...By Dodging Taxes"
After 20 years of research, Mexican scientist Eva Ramón Gallegos, of the National School of Biological Sciences (ENCB ) of the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN ), found a therapy that achieved the elimination of 100% of HPV. The finding was released on World Cancer Day 2019 and demonstrates, based on molecular studies, that photodynamic therapy achieves total elimination of the virus, as well as premalignant lesions of cervical cancer. The finding : Photodynamic therapy, which has been studied by Ramón Gallegos for two decades, consists of applying a drug called delta aminolevulinic acid to the cervix of the uterus, which after four hours is transformed into protoporphyrin IX, a fluorescent chemical substance that accumulates in damaged cells, which allows only the structures impregnated with it to be eliminated with a special laser beam. In the clinical phase 420 patients from the states of Oaxaca and Veracruz were treated, as well as 29 in Mexico City, who were infected with HPV, had premalignant lesions on the cervix or had both conditions. In the first part of the investigation, which included only women from Oaxaca and Veracruz, the treatment was applied on three occasions with an interval of 48 hours each, with a radiation time according to each case and the type of lesion. The results were as follows: in people who only had the virus without lesions, HPV was eliminated in 85%; in those who had the virus with lesions, it was also achieved in the same percentage and in those who had lesions without HPV, success was 42%. In Mexico City, double the concentration of aminolevulinic delta acid was applied, eliminating HPV in 100% of patients who carried it without lesions, 64.3% in women with viruses and lesions, and 57.2% in those who presented lesions without HPV. According to the researcher, this therapy has no side effects. “Unlike other treatments, it only eliminates damaged cells and does not affect healthy structures. Therefore, it has great potential to decrease the death rate from cervical cancer.” https://www.eluniversal.com.mx/english/mexican-scientist-cures-human-papilloma-virus
