Listen in and trust. 💡 Our bodies hold so much wisdom. When we are able to drop our attention into our bodies, past the spin of our controlling thoughts, we find a wealth of wisdom and answers. It’s not easy to get past the mind. The physical practice of yoga helps. Meditation. Hanging out in nature. Today I was able to leave the babes with @xphysio and go to a class with @luisvalentineyoga Luxury! An hour and a half of wisdom, peace, compassion, and inner stillness...before a kid’s birthday party. Two sweltering bus rides later, I’m still feeling the benefits. 🥳
Hey parents. Did you know @yogaonthelane offers parent and baby classes every Wednesday at 10:45 (to 11:45 ) led by @stretchedmumsyoga ? Pre-crawlers of any age welcome as this class is focused on you. Expect a gentle flow. No worries if you’re a bit late and no worries if you have a grumpy baby. Everyone will feel better after. 💗
I’m teaching today @yogaonthelane at 10:15 (90 min dynamic ) and 12:00 (60 min dynamic ). When you try to do all the things because it’s Easter holiday.
Lately I’ve been really fried by the end of the day. We miss so much in life when we aren’t able to be fully present. We miss the depth of peace, the depth of joy, the depth of contentment. The transition from one to two kids was easier than zero to one, but I find there is less space for turning my brain off. Pranayama is something I practice often to help me chill out, and yoga without a baby is a treat that I’m trying to get to twice a week now. Also, Strong Mother @fieldworks_gym has been a mood lifter and the best thing. It’s not easy carving out time to take care of myself with two little ones, but it is so important for my health. Thank you to the lovely @redaliya who drew me out of the house this evening for a really interesting and fluid yoga class with Susanne Lahusan @thelifecentre I’m so glad I went!
Giving birth to this special soul brought more light to the unfortunate truth that we don’t question things enough, and that we often don’t realise how much choice we have because it’s hidden beneath language and the status quo. Trust your gut and believe in your strength. Let your voice be heard. Let’s empower and support each other to shine. 💕 Happy International Women’s Day.

I’m studying to become a hypnobirthing practitioner with @kghypnobirthing ! I’m really excited and the timing feels right. 💛 I’ve hypno-birthed two big babies out without pain relief (my first birth was pain free-I have my theories why! ); and after my last experience of having to do a lot of research for myself to get the birth I wanted, I feel really inspired to share what I know (and will continue to learn ) with other parents. What happens (mentally and physically ) if your plan changes and suddenly you feel that you’re ‘failing’ or you’re upset because it’s not what you wanted? A “textbook” hypnobirth is wonderful, but every birth can be so different. I want to empower people to understand not just the hearsay but the statistics where available, so no matter what birth you have, you feel confident and comfortable with the decisions that you make along the way. 🙌 📷: by our amazing midwife Regina a couple hours post birth (hence why Emerson is shirtless and I am clothed ).
Tight neck? Tend to carry bags/babies on one side? This stretch got me through two pregnancies and saves the day before/after carrying my babes around. It’s a good one for anyone. You may find it more comfortable to sit on a block or folded blanket. My favourite tips: let your head hang (comfortably ) heavy. Draw the bottom tip of your “left” shoulder blade down and in. Relax your “right” waist first, and then stretch it in opposite directions (hip down, ribs up and over ). 🤤
Hello 👋 from Harper Mae! Check out those cheeks and that hair! 7 weeks later, I’m finally announcing the arrival of my sweet baby girl (prompted by my first visit to my @yogaonthelane home away from home for a lush class with @naomiyoga ). Despite Harper being a chilled, sleepy one, the space and nourishment I received from that class was much needed. Yoga away from home is essential for me at this point in my life. 🙃 👨👩👧👦 👌 Soooo good. It’s not like you forget how good it is, but it still feels amazing every time...right?? ✨
Today marks my last day of teaching before I pop! 🍉 I hope to see you at @yogaonthelane today for one last practice together! 10:15, 12:00 or 1:15! 🙏 It’s time to bunker down and prepare for the birth of this wriggly baby in my ever expanding tummy. We are all very excited now. Please keep in touch while I’m on leave! It will be nice to still see your faces. I’ll be back in the spring. Lots of love to you all. X
If you are rehabbing injuries, have had a baby (ever ), or are pregnant (whether you’re an athlete or hate to work out ), I can not recommend @eleah_pilates enough. I have had SPD (groin pain from a less stable pelvis from pregnancy ) in both pregnancies, and this time I have been doing regular Pilates sessions with Eleah (group until bump got too big, and now privates ). It is incredible the difference it has made in helping me maintain stability and therefore less pain in my groin. I feel strong all over and have even greater awareness of my pelvic floor, which is priceless when it comes to preparing for the marathon of labour. Even as a yoga teacher, the postural awareness and deeper core strength I have built from her sessions has been amazing. I’m a fan girl, but I’m a fan girl because she is the best. TRUST ME, BOOK IN! She does semi-private sessions @fixlondonuk as well, and group classes @yogaonthelane Next semi-private sessions begin 6th September. 4 week course for only £100 at 6.15pm each Thursday at Fix London Fields.

You won’t find it tomorrow if you don’t see it today. • Three more Sundays before I take my rest and prepare myself for my baby’s arrival. Three more Sundays to see your faces which I will think of on occasion, when I have a moment to reflect, in between feeds and cuddles and chores. Three more Sundays to connect with you all, my friends.

Nature always reminds me to be present in the moment...for a moment...and then back to my child walking too close to cliff edges and running down rocky hills.
Pre-YOTL post-PYO (pick your own ) breakfast. I don’t know why we haven’t done it before, but we picked a load of strawberries and raspberries yesterday at Parkside Farms. Cheaper and fresher than buying from the store and fun for the little ones too. I found the berry picking to be a lot like doing a yoga class...calming yet energising, fully focused and quite enjoyable! 😄 P.S. I’m only teaching 10:15-11:45 today if you can make it, as @xphysio and I are going to the TedX talks in Southbank today. See you at @yogaonthelane !
Time is really flying by this pregnancy. With less time to think about things, I have to be more conscious of setting moments aside to connect and fully experience this amazing creation happening inside of me! #grateful

Filtered by the 787 Dreamliner‘s electrified gel windows (as the current increases the windows darken! ). Hudson slept well, but we are suffering his jet lag now! None-the-less, it’s better than it’s been in the past. Back to my public classes on Sunday @yogaonthelane and looking forward to seeing everyone! 🤗

Heart full, and Hudson’s tummy full of chocolate. Went to Hudson’s Montessori today to watch him hunt for Easter eggs. So much fun. 🐣 Now for yoga news, I’m teaching tomorrow/Thursday @yogaonthelane for my ‘old’ 12:30 (which otherwise I’m no longer teaching due to Hudson’s nursery schedule change ☹️ ). Otherwise, I’ll be there for my usual few on Sunday if you want to join me on Easter! 🙏

The view from my mat. ... I somehow have only recently discovered the joys of practicing in my son’s room. Somehow my practice feels more deeply connected and heartfelt, but I don’t think it’s a mystery as to why...only why it took me so long to see it as an option! ... If it’s not too last minute (it is, I know ), I’m teaching @triyogauk Soho tonight 5:00-6:00!
