Capturing the emotion of places through photography.
As the new decade is just around the corner I wish you all Happy New Year and a fantastic new decade 2020! Thank you all for the wonderful support! ✨
Happy holidays everyone! Take care of each other. 🎄
Family. One of my favorite winter sunsets this year. Enjoy your day!
Reflected. One of my favorite places to visit lately. No snow, and no light so I think this is an appropriate view for the season. Enjoy your day!
Frost covered trees and beautiful vistas in Lapland. Can’t wait to explore these snowy landscapes again. Join us this winter for an epic adventure, more info on my bio!
As the darkness falls. I have not been travelling much for the past year and this view is just few kilometres from where we live and it still seems to surprise me sometimes. I guess you don’t always have to travel far to capture something inspiring. Enjoy your weekend!
Journey. Rainy days and cold nights. Winter will be here soon.
I’m happy to announce that our new Polar Light Workshop 2020 is open to entering. Join us this Winter as we explore the Finnish Lapland and northern Norway, 6-days full of unique places such as in these photos. We will be chasing the Northern Lights and Winter landscapes by snowmobiles. If you want to learn more, head to the link in my bio. The team: @kpunkka , @juusohd and yours truly.
It has been a long time since I have been here. In February I felt the need to take a break and since then I haven’t been using social media. Thank you all for the messages. I hope everyone is great and enjoying life! Unfortunately I don’t have a spectacular photo to share at least for now. Just a misty autumn evening at the lake.
My final (and probably favourite ) image from my #PursuitOfLight project with @nikoneurope was taken in Emäsalo, Finland. The ground was beautifully lit by the moonlight, and the lonely tree added to the atmosphere. I used the Nikon Z 7 and AF-S NIKKOR 14-24mm lens to create this #Z7 #Nikon #NIKKORZ #NIKKOR14_24MM #AD
Happy friends day (ystävänpäivä in Finnish ). Looking back to the past couple of weeks of our workshop, I feel grateful that I could share these beautiful moments with friends from different places. It was an amazing experience! In the coming weeks we will open the 2020 workshop so stay tuned! @kilpissafarit
It’s been a busy start to the year, lots of photography but not so much sharing. I hope you have enjoyed your start to the new year. I have been photographing near this place for the past few weeks, so I got the idea to share this older image, since the wreck is now gone. It might just be taken to the shore for the winter. On this magical evening the mist was thick enough to hide the horizon completely and the light from the left comes from a factory. Enjoy your day! #atmospherebook
I wish you all a relaxing and happy Christmas! 💝❄️ Stay warm and enjoy your time with the family. This one is a favorite of mine from the past year. If you are looking for a late Christmas present my eBooks and video tutorials are on sale. You can find them from the link in my profile. 🎁
Between two Worlds. Moonlight, snow and skiing track lights can produce a special kind of atmosphere. Have a beautiful day!
Whirlwind. When the light changes and the atmosphere shifts.
A break in the clouds. Just a moment later the sky was filled with clouds. My favorite spot in Kilpisjärvi. Join us this winter for a unique Polar Night adventure. Only few spots left! Find out more from the link in my bio.
The approaching darkness. Walking around the forest in the dark feels inspiring once you get over the fear. This was captured last night. #atmospherebook
Under The Northern Sky. Sometimes you need just a brief moment when the sky clears and the moonlight illuminates the scenery. Can’t wait to explore these landscapes again. Enjoy your day! We have still a few spots left in our Winter Workshop, check it out from my bio!
